PSY is the first and only Royal Yachting Association (RYA)-certified training centre in the Philippines, but the old Wix site did not show it. The platform lacked structure and visual appeal, with broken headers, empty calls to action and no clear navigation. Course booking was convoluted enough to cause drop-offs, and the RYA accreditation plus the founder’s sailing credentials — the school’s strongest differentiators — were barely visible.
Search visibility was low: no local SEO focus, outdated schema markup and no open graph tags for link sharing. The site was missing essential security features, and the engagement elements that build confidence — FAQs, trust factors, galleries — were absent or poorly executed. The engagement began in October 2024.
User journeys mapped from course discovery to booking, then rebuilt as a clean, sailing-centric design with high-quality visuals of courses, regattas and student achievements.
The clunky legacy booking flow was replaced with an intuitive interface where students select a course, view schedules and complete registration without friction.
RYA accreditation front and centre, the founder's credentials and nautical miles, a course and regatta gallery, student testimonials, partner display and a structured FAQ section.
Metadata, headers and alt text optimised for terms like 'sailing school in the Philippines' and 'RYA sailing courses', schema markup for course schedules and locations, open graph tags and an optimised Google Business Profile.
CDN delivery, media and script compression and caching cut page load times by over 45%. SSL secured all data exchanges, with ongoing security monitoring and scheduled audits.
Automated daily backups, Looker Studio dashboards for traffic, conversion and engagement KPIs, plus a CMS the team uses to publish new courses and events themselves.
The same deliverables list we work from on any boat booking website design or course booking build.
Five phases, each with its deliverables and the sign-off that had to happen before the next one started.
We mapped the full RYA course catalogue, seasonal scheduling, instructor availability and how enrolments were handled before the rebuild.
Course catalogue and booking rules agreed before design started.
