Dates, venues and official links for the shows that matter to marine brands, sailing schools, clubs, charter operators and brokerages — plus what to fix on your website in the eight to twelve weeks before your stand opens.
First of the autumn US in-water run. Sailing schools and charter operators in the Northeast see enquiry spikes for the following spring here, so next-season course and charter pages should already be live before the doors open.
Annapolis Sailboat Show (United States Sailboat Show)
15–18 October 2026
City Dock, Annapolis, Annapolis, Maryland, USA
Format
In-water, sail only
Focus
The sail-specific show in North America
The most sail-pure audience of any show on this list: cruising sailors, one-design owners and charter customers in one place. If you sell to sailors rather than powerboaters, this is the calendar anchor to build content around.
Bahia Mar and multiple waterfront sites, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA
Dates reported by marine trade sources while the organiser's edition page is still being updated — confirm directly before booking travel or stand space.
Format
In-water across several sites
Focus
The world's largest in-water show; superyachts and brokerage
Brokerage and charter demand concentrates here. Listing pages, vessel specification templates and enquiry forms take their heaviest traffic of the year in this window — the case for a technical audit before, not after.
Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, New York, USA
Format
Indoor
Focus
Northeast dealers, general boating
Opens the North American winter show season. Dealer inventory feeds and finance-enquiry funnels need to be crawlable and fast before January traffic arrives.
Donald E. Stephens Convention & Conference Center, Rosemont, Illinois, USA
Format
Indoor
Focus
Great Lakes power and sail, freshwater market
Great Lakes clubs and schools convert on "near me" search around this show. Chicago-area clubs should check their own listing and local pages before February.
Lumen Field Event Center and Bell Harbor Marina, Seattle, Washington, USA
Format
Hybrid: indoor halls plus in-water at Bell Harbor
Focus
Pacific Northwest cruising, sail and power
The largest show on the US West Coast and a nine-day run, which makes it unusually good for content-led lead capture — a downloadable checklist or buyer's guide outperforms a stand-only presence.
Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Marine Stadium and downtown marinas, Miami Beach and Downtown Miami, USA
Dates reported by marine trade sources while the organiser's edition page is still being updated — confirm directly before booking travel or stand space.
Format
Indoor halls plus in-water across multiple sites
Focus
International buyers, yachts, marine trade
The highest-intent international audience of the winter season. Multi-site layout means mobile search and directions traffic peaks — local schema and page speed matter more here than anywhere else on the calendar.
Waterfront festival: on-land halls plus a purpose-built marina
Focus
Power and sail, RYA training, Solent clubs and schools
The single biggest UK moment for sailing schools, clubs and RYA training centres. Solent-area organisations should have course intake pages, joining pages and their club listing accurate before September — see our UK clubs directory by sailing area.
European buyers research in December and January. Multilingual URL structure, hreflang and currency handling are the usual failure points for brands chasing this audience.
Sanctuary Cove, Sanctuary Cove, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
Format
In-water plus marquees
Focus
Australia's established luxury and lifestyle marine show
The anchor event for the Australian market. Queensland and NSW charter operators and schools should treat April as the deadline for site work, not May.
ICC Sydney and Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Dates reported by marine trade sources while the organiser's edition page is still being updated — confirm directly before booking travel or stand space.
Format
Indoor plus in-water at Cockle Bay
Focus
New Sydney harbour-side show
A new entrant taking the Sydney winter slot. Reported across Australian marine trade press; confirm exhibitor deadlines directly with the organiser, and note that the legacy Sydney International Boat Show branding's future has not been confirmed either way.
Search demand for your brand, your models and your location climbs in the month before a show and stays high for weeks after. The pages that answer those searches have to be ready before the run-up starts.
01
Indexation and rendering
Confirm every page you will point people to is indexed and renders its content without JavaScript. Listing feeds and booking engines on subdomains are the usual culprits.
02
Mobile speed
Show-floor traffic is almost entirely mobile on venue wifi. Core Web Vitals in the green on mobile is the difference between an enquiry and a bounce.
03
Structured data per template
LocalBusiness for the marina or base, Product with Offer for listings, Course and CourseInstance for school intakes, BoatTrip for charter itineraries.
04
Forms that actually deliver
Send a live test through every enquiry form and check it arrives in the inbox someone reads during a show week.
05
One lead-capture asset
A checklist or buyer's guide worth an email address turns show-week browsers into a list you can follow up in the weeks after.
Discontinued. The last edition ran in 2018 at ExCeL and the show was cancelled that May for lack of industry support. UK visitors should look to Southampton in September instead.
The autumn 2026 run is Newport (17–20 September), Southampton (18–27 September), the Annapolis Sailboat Show (15–18 October) and Fort Lauderdale (28 October – 1 November). The 2027 winter season opens with New York (20–24 January), boot Düsseldorf (23–31 January), Chicago (3–7 February), Seattle (5–13 February) and Miami (10–14 February), then Australia follows with Sanctuary Cove (20–23 May) and the new Australian International Boat Show in Sydney (29 July – 1 August).
When is the Chicago boat show?
The Discover Boating Chicago Boat Show runs 3–7 February 2027 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention & Conference Center in Rosemont, Illinois. It is an indoor show covering Great Lakes power and sail.
Which boat show is best for sailing rather than powerboats?
The Annapolis Sailboat Show is sail only, which makes it the most focused audience in North America. In the UK, Southampton carries the largest concentration of sailing schools, RYA training centres and Solent clubs. Newport is split between power and sail with a strong cruising contingent.
Is the London Boat Show still running?
No. The London Boat Show's last edition was in 2018 at ExCeL and it was cancelled in May of that year. Southampton International Boat Show in September is now the UK's main consumer marine show.
How far in advance should a marine business prepare its website for a show?
Eight to twelve weeks. Search demand for your brand, your models and your location climbs in the month before a show and stays elevated for weeks after, so the pages that answer those searches — listings, course intakes, charter itineraries, contact and directions — need to be fast, indexed and accurate before the run-up, not during it.
What should we actually fix before a boat show?
In order: make sure your key pages are indexed and render without JavaScript, get Core Web Vitals into the green on mobile, put correct LocalBusiness and Product or Course structured data on the relevant templates, check every enquiry form actually delivers email, and add one lead capture asset worth a name and address. Our 42-point marine technical SEO audit covers the whole list with evidence.
Are these dates confirmed?
Most come straight from the organiser's own website. A few — Miami 2027, Fort Lauderdale 2026 and the inaugural Australian International Boat Show — were verified through credible marine trade sources while the organiser's edition page was still being updated; those are marked on this page. Always confirm with the organiser before booking travel or stand space.
